sleep study and things do change

Post by lilly747 » Wed Feb 07, 2018 1:38 pm

Well I just finished a two day sleep study. I failed the cpap and got a bilevel titration done. Also they let me bring my own mask, and get this, they let me tape my mouth...

They changed my pressure settings alot.... :( I know i will have problems with my AHI but i hope it's not too bad and I can just get through the 30 day period needed for insurance. Hopping this will all be over soon. They tried to give me a non-adjusting bipap Respironics. I told them i would not accept that and wanted a ResMed bipap auto. They told me they had never had anyone refuse a prescribed machine before. Long story short, two days later I was told i would get the machine I wanted. The DME has informed me that machine would have to be special ordered and can take two weeks to get.

It seems none of the DME's here have ResMed machines in stock. I don't understand why. Maybe it is just the area I am in?? Anyway for the Newbees out there, you can get what you want, much of the time, if you insist.

Edit for clarity
