Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset just started making wheezing soun
I have been using the Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset for about year now. It has worked well and has been very quiet until recently it started making a wheezing sound when I inhale when it is ramping up, but when it gets to full pressure it makes a loud wheezing sound. I have checked the hose, switched out water chamber, plugged directly into the wall, checked the filter all the suggested fixes. It is coming from the machine not an air leak from the mask. I have tried to get help from Apria (pointless) and Resmed directed me to Apria. I need help with how to resolve the issue myself or use the warranty to have it replaced or fixed. Anyone's help would be appreciated thanks. My sleep has been severely hindered and no help in site at this time.

Apria is supposed to help with defective machines. Tell ResMed that Apria won't help and see if ResMed putting pressure on them will get them moving.
Alternately acbio.com is a ResMed warranty repair facility.
http://acbio.com/
But you would have to foot the bill for shipping and you shouldn't have to if Apria would just do what they are supposed to do.
Apria should handle it and give you a loaner to use while your machine is sent for repair or even replacement.
What insurance do you have? Maybe your insurance could also apply some pressure. Handling problems like this is part of Apria's job.

I had that noise on my S9/H5i. I took it apart and cleaned the differential pressure tubes and that took care of it for a month. It remained that way for about 6 months until the blower died. I believe you may have a blower unit going bad, it does run at a high rpm continuously while in use. Like anything else they out.
Wish I thought it was something easier.

Does it sound like this?

Supposedly that is the sound of a defective or failed pneumatic block.
My AirCurve 10 Vauto made that sound one morning after I changed from standard filters to less porous third party hypoallergenic filters. I went back to the more porous standard filters and haven't heard it since.

That is exactly what it sounds like. It just started one night. Still trying to get Apria to respond, but no luck.

I keep reading not good things about Apria. As Pugsy said, they are responsible for sorting this!

My airsense 10 autoset started making this exact noise about 3 weeks ago. It is less than 1 year old and has been so quiet until now. I purchased my machine from amazon, and the seller is no longer available. I have tried everything I know to do. Today I noticed my ramp setting was off. I turned it on and the noise went away. When it reaches max pressure, the noise may return. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

If the noise returns contact acbio.com for potentially help in getting it covered under warranty even if the original seller is no longer in the picture.EverybreathYouTake wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 9:52 amMy airsense 10 autoset started making this exact noise about 3 weeks ago.
