VA CPAP question

Post by USMCVet » Tue Jan 30, 2018 11:11 pm

Most likely a Bipap is in my future. Any ideas if they will ask for my current machine back or if I can keep it as a back up?
Thanks

Have you ever considered keeping your random thoughts in a single thread?

It's been my experience here in San Antonio. They make you take your old with you.

To turn in or keep it? I know when I got mine it was new and they ordered and had it shipped to them.

Oh gee, how many 'sections' are there in the forum?

If you'd keep all your random thoughts in one thread, then people that might want to help you could more easily refer back to what has come before, and have some idea about your issues.

It just works better that way.

I don't know how anything previous I have written would help answer this question at all.
Now in future if someone has same question they search VA and CPAP in title only it will make it much easier to find then wading through tons of pages.
I make a lot of the different ones to hopefully make it easier for others in the future to find information easier.
I doubt I will get an answer but when I find out sometime in near future I will put it in here for future people.

Maybe a three year old could join the forum.then he could provide your answers.

The only way I could answer is it's the Government, they will do it any way the Tax Payers can pay the most for the least good. Maybe they will include a Toilet seat and Hammer in the package too. Jim

The expensive toilet seats and hammers you speak of are so groups can keep their funding up. For example every 10 years they may need to replace all their computers. So if they don't use there surplus budget it will get cut the following year so when it does come time for new computers they won't have enough money.

Is that right? Nope.

I admit I did jump to the conclusion initially that your answer was useless and didn't really need to be made. However upon reflection I now see you did give me a legit answer. So what your saying is that they will most likely let me keep it as a back up so that way they don't have to give it to another veteran so they can just spend more money to justify there budget?
Thanks for your insightful answer!

the question was, will the va take your cpap back. the obvious answer is nobody knows. one va hosp person may take it back and the next person in the same place may not. just be aware if it is supposed to be collected and it isn't, an auditor at a future date could figure it out and demand compensation. If it was me I would turn it in and ask for a receipt to be done with it. after all, if you need a BPap, a CPap won't help much.
