Fisher & Paykel Sleep style 600 model HC604

I've had this great machine for 11 years. No issues until I made plane trip and packed it in a suitcase. Showed error code E1. Removed cover and suspected that airline rough handling possibly jarred something loose inside unit. Didn't notice anything wrong. I heated the solder joints of the interface connectors where stresses may have occurred. Then I noticed a frosty look on the main CPU chip on the top circuit board. This was caused by the poor protective coating on the components and being subjected to moist environment. Used fine brass wire brush and gently brushed away the corrosion between all the chip connections to the printed circuit board that I could find. I plugged it in and the error code went away. I used a clear spray lacquer and sprayed the cleaned areas on the board. Reassembled case....done.
