Why would anyone need an AB filter in their home? I'm assuming this is when using the AS10 in a healthcare setting, but it's not a closed vent circuit so I don't see the benefit. There are mask leaks.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what the AB filter is being used for.
Palerider uses the AB filter as an extra layer of pollen protection since pollens really aggravate his allergies.
It's just an extra filter in line to pick up what might have been missed by the initial filter(s)...especially since the ResMed just uses one filter and it's not all that dense as it is. The standard ResMed filter is quite "holey" compared to the hypoallergenic filter.
