Reasonably priced hoses, cushions, elbow joints?

Post by dbreweur » Sun Jan 14, 2018 2:13 pm

It's been far too long since I've used my CPAP machine (probably several months - I know, I know, bad idea) - so before I turned it on again, I did a decent cleaning. I wasn't too concerned about the machine itself or the humidifier tank (as I always used distilled water), so a typical washing sufficed.

However, both my newer and older heated hoses (both for the dreamstation auto-cpap machine) looked like they had seen better days and since the F20 hasn't ever really fit me or my head right since I got it, I was thinking about going back to my F10, if I could just find some place to get the cushion and elbow joint piece for relatively cheap (I already have the headgear/frame that works just fine still, though probably also in need of a cleaning). Medicaid only covers a new mask once every six months, and since my DME spent two months jerking me around last time, instead of getting a new mask in June as I had expected, I won't be able to get a new one through them until August. Either way, I'll have to wait for my check to clear around February 1st before I can get any of this purchased.

Anybody have a site that they recommend where I could find the mask cushion, elbow joint, and a heated hose line for decent price?

I would look at EBay

https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-ResMed-Rep ... Swr6RZgUG-

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R ... 0&_sacat=0

and you might look on Amazon

I can't find a heated hose for the DreamStation for less than around $39 on EBay

I actually just found the paperwork from when I got my last mask - and if the dates line up right, I should be covered by Medicaid to get a new full face mask (including headgear, cushion, frame), new hose, new humidifier tank, new disposable and non-disposable filters) around January 31-February 1st and not have to wait until August like I had thought. My inability to throw paperwork away is finally paying off
