Awakening

Post by dryan1929 » Sat Dec 30, 2017 12:16 pm

Just completed first night with CPAP (auto-airsense 10 with RMD Airfit P10 Nasal, medium with pillows). I had no problem with the mask. Didn't bother me at all. I did, however wake up at least six times most of which were during REM. Bad nights sleep to say the least. Is this normal when you start using CPAP? Will it go away?

Yeah, pretty much normal for a lot of people. I had it happen to me for several weeks in fact...the brain just would nudge me to say "hey dude, do you know that there is an alien stuck on your face" type of thing. This usually goes away with time as the brain comes to grips with its new best friend.

But let's make sure your therapy is indeed optimal and that sub optimal therapy isn't playing a factor in the wake ups.

Get the available software (you do have the AirSense 10 AutoSet...is that correct) and let's see what the software shows.
