Resmed F20 Mask

Post by mldenison » Sat Dec 30, 2017 8:36 am

I got a new Resmed 10 about a month ago. I decided to try the Amara View mask after using Resmed pillows for a number of years.

My wife complained about, I guess, the roaring generated during the night caused by mouth leakage.

I never could get the View mask to be comfortable or not to leak.

I then tried the Resmed F20 silicone mask. After a couple of weeks of strap adjusting, I'm at or below 24 L/mi.

The mask irritated my nose and caused fluid pockets under my eyes so I got the F20 foam mask a couple of days ago.

That mask combination is great! No more irritation and the bags are going down.

Plus, three nights with Resmed reporting 100% scores. Zero leakage and no AHI events reported.

I guess it's all in the mask.

The proper mask for your face shape and size is important. Everyone's face is different. It's good to hear you have found a mask that works for you. I went through 15 or 16 masks before I found one I could stand to use every night. Right now, I switch between two of them. I use the F20 most nights, and use the Amara View when I get a little sore spot above my nose.
