Who gives a RAT'S ASS what coworkers THINK about the therapy equipment that's going to SAVE YOUR LIFE???

But, if you're that big of a wimp, make up a label that says "BINFORD TOOLS" "TURBO-CHARGED MODEL"

ARGH! ARGH! ARGH!

He's not a wimp. He's young and nervous about this new weird thing that sets him apart from his peers. I don't know how attacking him will do anything except drive him away from this board, which we've seen in the past.

THAT was not an "attack"! Maybe you missed my first post on page one of this thread. I was trying to reassure him that he was actually given the top-of-the-line machine for his therapy.

Many of the other posters were also giving him advice about covering up parts of the machine with other things like duct tape, too.

Try to put this into perspective. It's equipment that helps you breathe while you sleep. Pretty benign. Many people have more serious physical and medical issues to deal with. And, if Sleep Apnea isn't treated, it can lead to more serious physical and medical issues.
Would his "peers" make fun of him if he used a cane, crutches, walker, or wheelchair? I doubt it.
If his "peers" can't deal with this therapy or its equipment, maybe they're the wrong crowd to be hanging out with. Or, maybe they need to be educated more about Sleep Apnea and its long-term ramifications if not treated.

Another option would be to purchase an additional ("macho") machine (lots of inexpensive ones available) to use as a travel machine. Most of us have additional/spare machines for emergencies anyway.

Edit again for.......one final thought.
If, as we've been told for the last 50 - 150 years that women are superior to men ( "I am woman, hear me roar" ), what's the big deal why we (men) couldn't use a machine built with a setting for women?

Somewhere along the way, this whole gender thing got twisted all out of proportion.

You'll notice the OP never returned to this thread. You responded to Cpapian, who had simply made a statement of empathy, by calling the OP a wimp. We actually have no idea what the OP has decided to do. Turning the OP's concern into a soapbox about gender issues is one example of how threads on this board go astray.

Others sharing the hotel room may prefer you wearing "diving gear" to hearing you SNORE.
Alternatively, anything beats waking up next to a BODY.
So true. I was a little embarrassed and nervous about sharing a hotel room with friends after getting my cpap. But I was also embarrassed by my horrible snoring. And when I would travel with my sister, she would yell at me, tell me to roll over, and then sleep while I laid on the wrong side, unable to sleep. Basically, only one of us could sleep at a time.

All of my friends would tell me the next day, wow, that is really quiet. I couldn't even hear it.

As for the leaves, could buy a "skin" for $20 that will cover it up. Or you could print a full page sticker, trim it to cover the design, and make your own skin.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

Zombie thread alert folks.
Resurrected by someone not even using the kind of machine this thread is about and wanting software. Thread was hijacked.
Be careful who you are responding to....it's an old thread.
