I vote for the fine bourbon.Redonthehead wrote:I spend a lot of weekends at a hunting cabin and use an OLD steel frame bed with a soft worn out mattress. Not sure if it the bed, the fact I keep the room in the mid to low 60's temp-wise, or because I am alone (without the wife), or a fine bourbon before bed!

I think the temperature aspect is huge. It's bitterly cold here and I keep my bedroom door shut and the vent closed...it'll be 56 in there tonight. And I'll sleep really well. I have a heated mattress pad I use to warm up the bed before I get in it so I don't scream, and then I turn it off when I get in bed.Redonthehead wrote:I spend a lot of weekends at a hunting cabin and use an OLD steel frame bed with a soft worn out mattress. Re: Let's talk beds
My logic was that that we spend one third (not literally, but stay with me) of our life in a bed, so it needs to be one we like. As I said, I like the Temper-pedic, but my daughter has a Sleep Number and swears by it. We spend a lot of time mastering the cpap-thang, and neglect the mattress. Goes hand-in-hand.
