Hi all. SleepyHead? Is the Android app the same as the windows exe? If it is it keeps stopping on me and it seems to be very limited in what it do. I like the idea of being able to analyse my own data but I need to understand it of course. I know what central apnea is but is Total Clear Airways Apnea the same thing or entirely different? The pic is my first night (last night on CPAP)

Sleepyhead is a program, doesn't come as an app. Several people have it listed in their sig below their posts. You can see a LOT more information than Dreammapper.
Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

Thanks. Does it work with any CPAP machine to read the machines data how does it do it?

It works with just about any machine that provides data. There are a few models that do not have data other than compliance. You have stated what machine you have, but since it mentioned the type of events, it must have decent data available.

That image is a DreamMapper report image. So the machine being used is a Respironics DreamStation most likely. It's full data because it shows the 3 event categories
Clear Airway/Central
Obstructive apnea
Hyponeas
SleepyHead will work with the DreamStation machines except for the high dollar DreamStation ASV machine.
You can go here to get SleepyHead...computer software though..and works with several operating systems so pick the one that you have on your computer. There is no phone app version of SleepyHead though.

Thanks again. This is last night's results. Any better? It took about an hour to get to sleep. What is the norm when using CPAP?

All you see is summary statistics. All it tells you is that you do not have a leaking problem, and that your sleep apnea is not below 5 so it is not well controlled.
To understand why, you need to review your data using sleepyhead. There are many threads that you can look at to see other peoples data and analysis.
See the three links below for help using sleepyhead.

Adequately treated AHI is below 5.0...so you have a long way to go but a good bit of that AHI could be from awake events getting flagged during that first hour of turning the machine on and you were awake and it took about an hour to get to sleep.
We have no way of knowing what events you actually might have had when asleep without seeing the software reports.
Maybe all your AHI is from that first hour...maybe your pressure isn't optimal and you are having a truckload of apnea events all night long when asleep.
No way to tell by the information you get from DreamMapper unless you get a DreamMapper AHI of 3.0...then you know for sure no events.
These machines can and will flag awake breathing irregularities as some sort of apnea event...they aren't real though if you are awake.
So it's real important to first figure out if a person was awake or not when the apnea event flags occur and then start thinking about how to fix things.
If you are awake they don't need fixing...if you are asleep with an AHI over 5 when for sure asleep...somethings need fixing.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Thanks Pugsy. Working on the SleepyHead thing. I just woke up this morning so waiting for data to upload. I'm still on trial so I can't get Bluetooth going so have to upload from modem in my Dreamstation. Got a better night sleep last night but a bit of a headache and slightly dry horror again so would suspect not so good. I'm getting no leakage for as far as dreammapper says anyway.

Sorry. Just checked dreammapper. Results below. Still dreammapper results. Getting a card reader so I can upload to SleepyHead. Hopefully can do the upload later today.

Did you have an in lab sleep study?
Or did you have a take home sleep study?
Do you have the results of either of these? If not, make plans to get a hard copy of the report. I have a sneaky suspicion that you might really need it to answer some questions that we might have if the AHI continues like it is going and doesn't come down once you are sleeping better.
Also did you have an in lab study where the lab tech attempted to come up with optimal pressures or did they do something else to come up with the current settings now? If you had an in lab titration study where they put the mask on and tried to find an optimal pressure....get a copy of that report also if you don't have it.
If your computer doesn't have a slot for a SD card then you will need the card reader/adapter so you can use one of the USB ports to get the data from the SD card to the software in the computer.
You might want to also make sure that your machine has a SD card and if it doesn't make plans to get one. Cheap generic will work for both the card reader and the SD card if you end up having to buy them.
Which model machine do you have? The model number is on a sticker on the bottom or the side of the blower and starts with DSX then 3 digits...then some letters. It's the 3 digits that is important.
DSX200 xxx
DSX400xxx
DSX500xxx
or maybe higher like 600 or 700 or even higher.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Thanks again Pugsy. Had the sleep study done at a hospital. I'm an Aussie living in Melbourne. AHI without CPAP was 43.6. With CPAP set at 9cm H2O 26.3.
REM Delay was 124 minutes. Sleep specialist went on the sleep study figure for the script he wrote. Which I feel was wrong. It was a split study. My model number on machine seems to be AUX500T15. There's nothing with DSX on it. I have a SD card reader now. I just need to get to my computer to load it. I've attached my sleep study to this message.

That's okay. Didn't know you were an Aussie.
Your AUX is the US version of DSX. The 500 is what is important...you have a DreamStation Auto CPAP.
I will download and try to read your sleep study tomorrow. It's sideways and I need to rotate it and I can't seem to do it easily and I have a massive headache right now so can't think.

Your report says that you have sever sleep apnea, titration was unsuccessful, recommend treatment pressure of 9.
The data shows that a pressure of 11 was insufficient.
So since you are set to 9 which the data shows is insufficient, it is understandable that your AHI is still high with treatment.
Once you post your data via sleepyhead, then we can help you.

OK. I have finally installed SleepyHead. Can someone show me with a screenshot what data you want to see?
