I just tried sending jsielke a private message...I got no such message about PMs being disabled. It let me compose just fine and if he had PMs disabled it wouldn't let me compose.

Maybe a forum glitch...I have had that happen on occasion when replying to someone that sent me a PM...so I suggest try again.

I just tried and received same error. I suspect that your moderator status bypasses an individual choice not to receive PM's.

Ah crap. I forgot about that little thing. So sorry...Forget what I said.

But I have had it happen where I was sending a PM to someone in a reply to a PM they sent me and I got told they weren't accepting PMs....and it was a forum software bug because when I tried 5 minutes later it went through.
And this was before I got special privileges.

OK, Thanks to ChicagoGranny, got it fixed. I had forgotten a long time ago I disabled that because of objectionable PMs from "he who will not be named."
Should be OK, now.
