ResMed S8 Escape 11 Stopped

Hi! I have been using my ResMed S8 Escape 11 each night for a number of yrs with no issues. Last night I went to use it and the display gave me the prompt to adjust the Ramp and that is it. It won't turn on. Is it possible the unit could lose it's memory and need to be reprogrammed?

Time for an upgrade. It would not be worth it to spend any money on repairs. S8 is old and Escape is the low end model.

This is why many of us have at least one back up machine. You never know when a machine will decide to die.

If you are out of pocket, shop around.
The forum sponsors (cpap.com) sell newer, better machines NEW for less
than most local DME's want for old bricks.
Secondwindcpap.com is even cheaper if you don't mind open box/lightly used machine.
Insurance pays the same amount for state of the art auto machines as the equivalent for your old one.
Don't let the DME screw you.

I have no idea what could be wrong with your machine but there is a fairly recent post of someone selling a S8 Autoset for $50.
That would work, at least for a backup until you get a new machine.

Using weight loss, general exercise, and tongue/throat exercises I managed to get my AHI down to approx 5.
Not using a machine currently.

Did you try to unplug it, check/clean the filter, and re-plug it in?

That's why many of us have spares and backup machines and equipment. Things don't last forever and can quit at any time.

There is/was a known issue with the on/off button. Don't know that is what is wrong with your machine but at this point worth trying.
