Amara View - nose numbness

12 days (nights) with the Amara View mask.

I've heeded advice from forum members and have begun to loosen the tension on the facial straps and reduced pressure marginally, from 12 down to 10.
My morning numbers are beginning to reflect positive changes in lower ahi values along with reduced leakage numbers. Reduced tension has also alleviated external nasal pressure discomfort. It's early in the Amara experience, continued improvement remains to be seen, but overall comfort has improved.

I'm still plagued by Dry Mouth awakenings, four or five such events nightly. I'm getting conflicting recommendations concerning humidity level adjustments....??? Changes that I've made, e.g., reductions, increases, have made little, if any difference. I have yet to try a complete shut-off of the humidifier.
Logic tells me that less humidity should lead to drier air, drier mouth....?? Conversely, more humidity should bring relief. So far that has not been my experience. Not with the Amara View modified FFM. Nor with the Dreamwear nasal masks from which I switched.

Open to any and all suggestions......

Glad to hear you're making some good progress, I believe it's maybe not a good mask for those that require high pressures, but for those of us that don't it can be a great mask after some tweaking and perseverance. For that reason, did you also reduce your upper pressure down a little?
I do have some tolerable dry mouth at varying degrees, depending I guess on how much my mouth drops open. I just accept that it goes with the territory of being a mouth breather and having to wear a FFM in the first place.
I'm in the UK so humidity is pretty high everywhere here and I just leave my setting on auto. I can't advise on what setting you'd need, it's worth making some adjustments but you may not eliminate dry mouth completely, rather get it to a tolerable level. Good luck.

The best thing I have found for dry mouth is the cervical collar. I use one to keep my mouth closed at night. I could not find a chin strap I could sleep with to keep my mouth closed, but the cervical collar does a good job of keeping my mouth closed at night.

I got my medium cushion two days ago to replace the small one. Much more comfortable. I get barely any leaks UNLESS THERE IS A BUILDUP OF FACIAL OIL/DIRT because I was too lazy to wipe it off. Then it leaks. I have the heated hose and humidifier maxed out with pressure 19.5-20.0 and also get some dry mouth too, and the tank has barely any water in it after 6 hours.
