Card Reader

Post by Redface3# » Sat Nov 25, 2017 1:14 pm

I have a ResMed Airsense 10 and need some recommendations, on what would be a good card reader for it? I have the card that came with the machine. I want to try and read it on SleepyHead.

Any SD card reader should work, USB readers are small handy and cheap. Check NewEgg. Also many computers have them built in. Around $10 should be a fair cost. Jim

Does your computer not have a slot for SD card?
Sometimes people don't know because the slot isn't easily seen. If for sure no SD card slot then any generic card reader/adapter will work.
Cheap generic from WalMart will work just fine.

Often you will find them under a 'door' that hides your front USB ports.

Here is how to check if your computer has an SD card reader. Look at the front and sides of the keyboard of your laptop computer for a slot labeled “SD.”

Look at the front of the tower of your desktop computer for a slot labeled “SD.”

If you are running Windows 10, click and hold "Start," then click "Device Manager" in the menu that appears. In the device manager, look for a device labeled “SD host adapter.” If you see it, your computer has a built-in SD card reader. If you can locate the slot but not the device listing, or see the listing but not the slot, contact your computer's manufacturer for more information.

If you have Windows 7, click “Start,” right-click “Computer” and click “Manage.” Click “Device Manager” in the left pane of the Computer Management window. Look for a device labeled “SD host adapter.” If you see this device, your computer has a built-in SD card reader. If you still can't locate the slot, you may have to refer to the owner's manual or the manufacturer's website.

Right here:

Way cheaper than it used to be, too.
I bought mine when it was $10.00.

I have had good luck with this reader. Plugs into USB 2.0 or 3.0 port.
