Full night but with Ambien

Post by andrasnm » Mon Oct 30, 2017 8:48 am

Today, I am driving to San Francisco and I wanted a good night rest, so I took my little pill (Ambien) and it happened. First night with mask on

My wife uses the same poison. Found her standing on the porch at 4 am, waiting for her sister to pick her up for church, Bad thing church was two days from then. Forget trying to talk to her after Ambien, useless.
fell down going to the bathroom, hit her head on the tub cut it open,I stopped the bleeding and applied a patch. She lived but wouldn't stop Ambien. A fine drug if you want to live life a a zombie.

I finally convinced her to quit, I started cutting them in half, results are better, been two months later she refuses to stop her beloved Ambien and become fully normal. Last night she poured a big container of ice water in her bed soaking everything, had to change all the bed covers and sheets. Just washed them two days ago. Ambien is a a addictive drug, don't overdose, and don't get hooked. Jim

My Story--Restoril (temazapam) . On it for a couple of yrs because I cannot sleep. Did not know about sleep apnea till recently. Continued with it when I started treatment. Woke up like a zombie. Never experienced this before. Asked the prescribing Dr--can this happen with CPAP? YES. Now weaning myself off of it for the past week or so and will be done with it end of this week. Find the Cpaping puts me to sleep now.

Glad to hear you are getting some sleep and numbers are looking good.

People are better off smoking weed man ...

Big pharma drugs kill.

Seriously though. There are natural ways.

1) Avoid blue lights ... if you must use electronic screens, use f.lux software app which temporarily removes blue spectrum light emissions from your electronic device (iPhone, tablet. laptop, PC, etc.) ... also replace fluorescent bulbs with incandescent red/orange/amber bulbs for night time use.

2) Go out and watch the sunset each day ... the red light caused by atmospheric Mie scatter triggers production of melatonin from the pineal gland after the light waves hit the photosensitive cells of your eyes.

3) When you do go to sleep, make sure your room is as dark as possible and make sure all blue lights are completely eliminated. My Respironics M-series has a blue light that I painted over ... stupid Respironics design.

So red light is good in evening, blue light is very bad after dark, no light is best while sleeping.

No more big pharma zombies.

I have been taking Ambien for years and there are no side effects for me. Everyone is different and some do report sleep walking etc while under Ambien but that has no bearing on me. I do not take it every night but when I must I do. Your mileage may wary and you might get hooked but again you might get hooked on something else if not Ambien. I also take lithium and it has saved my life but there are those who cannot handle it at all. We are all built/wired different!
