How many hours of sleep?

What setting are you using on the humidifier?

Does a hot shower help or make the congestion worse?

about 6 hrs of sleep--hot shower no better. Humidy at 6. Feel like allergies are back. They r not. Went to see allergist. Couple meds to try--but no help. So I get this back while I have a decent CPAP score. Trade one for another.

If the hot shower doesn't help...does it make it worse?

Are the nasal symptoms pretty much unchanged during the day or get better after a little while and then worse by the next morning?

Are you using a heated hose or non heated hose?

6 hours isn't enough sleep to expect to feel much better even if everything else is ideal and optimal.

Some people need more humidity...some people need less.
Google "cpap rhinitis" and start reading.

Takes all day to get rid of symptoms. Hot shower--no change. Yes heated humidifer. Hose heated- dont know Do I want that?

Going to try turning humidifer down. Cant go too far or will get dry nose. Maybe try 5

Weird experience. I know the mask leaked last night. I heard it the whole second half of the night. Yet on Sleepy head very small next to nothing leak, and res med gave me a 96. How can this be?

Because leaks don't have to qualify for large leak flags to be annoying and disturb sleep.
It's why I say that even tiny leaks that disturb sleep are unwanted. Not so much because of the impact on therapy pressures but because of the impact on sleep quality itself. Anything that wakes us up is unwanted.

Small leaks don't matter if they don't disturb a person's sleep.

Heck big leaks, that are very brief, don't matter as long as they don't disturb a person's sleep.
My leak lines are rarely perfect. Almost always get some little time period where the mask may have moved a little and I get a large leak flag but but they rarely last more than 5 minutes if they happen but I sleep through them so I don't care.
I learned a long time ago that trying to attain a picture perfect leak line could only be obtained at the expense of my sleep quality and my sleep is fragile enough without adding something that causes more problems than the problem it is trying to fix might cause.

Leaks are a war that we never win. Sometimes we win a battle here and there but sometimes the leaks win the battle. It's a war that is never completely over.

Anything that disturbs sleep is unwanted because it is disturbing sleep. Doesn't matter what it is.

AMESS, I have a question...If you were awake enough to hear a leak for half the night...WHY didn't you try to correct it and go back to sleep. Sometimes we have to help ourselves get on track. Just my observation...

OK, be sure to be lying down when you tighten your straps. If u tighten them while sitting up, your face changes once u lay down and may be causing the leaks. Rule of thumb....tighten laying down...

Will be thinking of u tonight Knot as I tighten all the straps. New mask-that's my excuse-

Wondering how mask will fare on up coming cruise. As the water swells--will the mask give me a hard time? Do not even want to take it with.

HAHA, no it shouldnt give problems cause it will be on your face acting like a part of you. Should ride the swells right along with the rest of your body. Have fun on your cruise.

Do not leave it behind--no matter how tempting.
The different environment might even provide enough distraction, you can sleep BETTER.
The last thing you want on a cruise is lousy sleep. No fun if your head hurts.
