Wildly inconsistent bipap results
I recently started using a bipap. It's a ResMed AirCurve 10 S. My pressures are: ipap 11 and epap 7. My nightly AHI is terribly inconsistent from a low of 9 to a high of 25. The mix of OSA and CA also varies widely within the overall AHI. My sleep routine is very consistent each night. The results for some nights are almost as bad as my initial sleep study without cpap/bipap. Are inconsistent results, especially of this magnitude normal? Is it possible that the machine/software is defective? Thanks for any perspective.
Re: Wildly inconsistent bipap results
Results will vary each night. More importantly your treatment is likely not very good. Most likely the pressures are not correct or you may have significant leaking.sleepykiddo wrote:I recently started using a bipap. It's a ResMed AirCurve 10 S. My pressures are: ipap 11 and epap 7. Yes, Results that vary can be caused by a wide variety of things.TedVPAP wrote: Results will vary each night. More importantly your treatment is likely not very good. Most likely the pressures are not correct or you may have significant leaking.
No not once you figure how things work and get the right pressure settings. What software are you speaking about?sleepykiddo wrote:Are inconsistent results, especially of this magnitude normal? Is it possible that the machine/software is defective? Thanks for any perspective.
You gave this to go on...
Recently meaning how long?sleepykiddo wrote:I recently started using a bipap. It's a ResMed AirCurve 10 S. My pressures are: ipap 11 and epap 7. What exactly is that consistent routine? My sleep routine is very consistent each night.
What position do you sleep in?
