got a tooth pulled and my pressure is 2 units lower

Post by Jack Burton » Thu Oct 12, 2017 9:09 pm

I had a tooth pulled and after the swelling subsided and I quit taking pain meds my pressure stats are all down ~2.

I have been keeping track for over a year and now the pressure has gone down.
However the event stats seem to be the same.

I guess a low grade infection can raise apnea

Be glad you were not using a Winx instead of cpap.
Dry socket, anyone?

What is a Winx, Google didn't help.

It uses suction to pull the tongue out...suction isn't good after a tooth removal because you can suck the clot out and get a dry socket.

Winx uses a oral pressure therapy (OPT). Instead of delivering forced air through a mask like CPAP, Winx delivers a light vacuum through a soft, flexible mouthpiece that fits comfortably in the mouth. The mouthpiece is connected to the Winx console by a very slim tube. Winx keeps the airway open during sleep by gently drawing the soft palate forward and stabilizing the tongue.

Winx CLAIMS to be an alternative to cpap--WITHOUT comprehensive, unbiased research to back it up!
It amazes me what people apparently get away with.
