This is quite common for a lot of folk, myself included. For me it took a few weeks with a gradual lessening of the wake ups just because that there was a alien on my face that the brain hadn't comes to terms with accepting as its new best friend.
Until the wake ups reduce to minimal numbers you aren't likely to see the "miracle" and even then there are other reasons for not feeling like running a marathon.
Fragmented sleep for any reason is going to trash sleep quality though so that is the first thing to work on or give it time.
At this point for you...just give it time. It will get better in terms of the brain wanting to poke you and say "hey dude, did you know there is an alien plastered on your face and blowing air up your nose"
