OT- Eagles Nest Cam

http://www.dickpritchettrealestate.com has a live video cam in Florida facing an eagle’s nest. Cardsfan posted the link for the last couple of years and got me hooked. This particular nest is near Ft. Myers, FL. The tree and nest did suffer damage from Irma. It has been fascinating to watch the eagles repair the nest. No eggs yet. I’m just a novice and don’t know when the parenting starts for this nest. I do know that eggs hatch around New Year.

I am envious!
Our state capitol has a webcam on the peregrine falcons nesting there.
I think they help control the pigeons downtown.

They just hatched a couple of eyasses.

Well hello Harriet!!! For those of you who don't know, Harriet's original parter, Ozzie, went to heaven a few years back. M is her new mate, and he did a great job last year. It is quite amazing to watch nature unfold. Warning- you may see things that are not pretty. Nature isn't always happy. I love watching this cam for the last few years.

Every year I swear I won't watch again, and every year I go back. I can't believe they survived Irma being in the Ft. Myers area, but they did and so did the nest (more or less). They went off to sleep some place else last night but if there were eggs or chicks would have stayed. They'll be back later today to fix up the nest.
