Sleepyhead, SD card not recognized on computer
I just got my Aircurve 10 Vauto yesterday and used it for the first time last night. A few moments ago, I too the SD card out of the machine and plugged it into my card reader. Windows 10 came up and said the card needed to be formatted and will not see the card without. I tried using Sleepyhead to import from SD and choose the drive thinking maybe it was a proprietary file system that ResMed uses and hoping that SH would see something. Nothing there. Any advice on what I need to do? Do I have to tell teh Aircurve to write the data to the SD card? Do I need to format the SD card somehow? Any advice appreciated!
Re: Sleepyhead, SD card not recognized on computer
I have Windows 10 and have never had it want to format any SD card to see it.
You shouldn't have to do anything...I have never had to do anything special with any of my machines from ResMed or Respironics and that includes recent AirCurve 10 and an AirSense 10.

Where are you seeing the prompt to reformat???
What happens if you use the navigator and go to the drive letter where the SD card sits? Can you see the card?

Check tab on SD card, it may be locked. You may have removed the card before the XPAP wrote the files. Jim

Re: Sleepyhead, SD card not recognized on computer
it sounds to me like there is no data on the card. How long had the card been in the PAP before you removed it? I have not had to do any formatting on either of 2 cards I have used first in my CPAP then in my 2 windows 10 one apple system.

Re: Sleepyhead, SD card not recognized on computer
I will stick with my Windows 10 computer, thank you for your stupid remark. I use my computers for my living and have no need for any other operating system. In fact, most of the software that I use does not run on anything but Windows and I am not going backwards. My computers make me a lot of money and are certainly no social media machines in any sense of the imagination!
Pugsy, thank you for your valuable help. When I insert the card, Windows comes up with a message saying the card is not formatted and asking if I want to format it. If I navigate to the drive where the card is supposed to be, it will not open anything since the card is not formatted according to Windows.
Goofproof, thanks for the suggestions. Card is unlocked and I just took the card out of the machine 30 minutes ago. I woke up at 9 this morning. Does it take that long to write the data to the SD card?

Re: Sleepyhead, SD card not recognized on computer
Looks like I spoke too soon and may have a wonky card reader in my computer. I just took it out and put it back in and now it comes up just fine! I had taken it out and put it back in a couple times before I posted the question so not sure what is gong on!

Whew....I just now erased a long detailed trouble shooting idea.
Which included check out the slot card reader.
It only takes 5 minutes (if that) after you turn your machine off for the machine to finish writing the files to the SD card and close them out.

Re: Sleepyhead, SD card not recognized on computer
I am so sorry you wasted your time, Pugsy! I am not novice at computers and believe me, I tried inserting and removing the SD card numerous times (at least 5) before posting. Don't know why it worked right after posting my question! Thanks for all your help though!
Re: Sleepyhead, SD card not recognized on computer
My SD card reader on my laptop does not work well at all, I usually just use a cheap USB reader to keep things easy.

Re: Sleepyhead, SD card not recognized on computer
No problem. I am just glad it now works as it should but you might keep an eye on that slot/card reader and if it acts up too much just go get a cheap card reader/adapter and use a USB port.
How did you do your first night?
Sleep okay for having all this crap on your face and head and blowing air up your nose?
It took me several weeks before I would quit waking up just to feel the mask on my face and stuff like that.
