Dreamstation pressure change

Post by Wunderchef » Wed Sep 27, 2017 7:05 am

Hi. I'm a dreamstation user. I have a set pressure machine. Twice now the machine has changed pressure automatically - from 10 to 9 and now to 8.
I'm not sure if this is supposed to be happening - does the machine analyse results and make adjustments or is this a fault?

Sounds like it is set in "OptStart" mode where it does evaluate things and sometimes make changes in pressure.

Go here and request the clinical/provider manual for your machine and read up on how OptiStart works.

You can also use SleepyHead to evaluate the therapy as long as you aren't using the DreamStation CPAP model DSX200xxx.

That particular thing happened to me and I was so confused as to where that pressure was "coming from." It was definitely the "OptStart" setting being on.
