Phillips Dream Mapper Mask

Post by Amess » Thu Sep 21, 2017 6:41 am

Has anyone tried the Phillips Dream Mapper mask? . I thought it was leaking too much. Surprise. on the leak meter--19--best I have had since starting this 3 weeks ago. My 4th mask and as always takes some getting used to. Nasal pillows do not go into the nose but sit just under it. Hose in the back of the head. No getting messed up in hose. Not too bad so far. Curious if anyone has used this mask.

Is that the correct name, Dream Mapper? Dream Mapper is their software. I do not see a mask of that name.

What you describe sounds like the DreamWear mask.

Yes, I have used it. I liked it very much.

It is not necessary to repeat your original post (OP). I thought you had left the board? I myself was getting rather tired of the plethora of threads about the behavior of others and was about to say something to you, but didn't when I read further and saw that you were leaving.

Seriously, I do hope that you will continue as you've done this time, by asking for help or offering help. Just ignore people that bother you. There is a foe button, once you register and your account is activated. Posted lots of threads about their behavior only gives them more encouragement.

Amess, I think if you edit your first post that you will have access to the subject line. You may get more responses if it had the Dream Mapper changed to DreamWear.

I should have mentioned, too, that the DreamWear was extremely comfortable for me. My septum had become very painful while using the Swift FX.

There is a `search`` feature at the top of the page. If you were interested in any mask you can usually find answers there. Just type in dreamwear mask review and you will find a bunch of opinions... by the way if you were to do so you would find a comprehensive review by Pugsy. Before you ask a question, its always smart to do a search first and try to find your answers on your own, it usually has been discussed and dissected before .
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

If u look carefully--I changed the dream mapper to dreamwear. So not totally repeating--just correcting. Frankly a few people were harrassing me. no matter what I posted they said it was wrong or could not happen.

No one is harassing you, people try to help you and YOU consider it harassing. Advice is just that, you take it or leave it, did you expect someone to hold your hand and say `pretty please, excuse me.` You need to grow a thicker skin and not expect to be babied with the answers they give you.................sheesh.

Oh! Yes, I see now where you changed the name to DreamWear. If you go into your first post, I *think* you may be able to edit that subject line so that it will be correct on the main page too. (otherwise it is only someone already inside of your thread that can see the correction)

Yes, I saw them harassing you. Unfortunately this forum has a group of people that spend their time baiting, bullying, and harassing others. Sad, but true. I suspect you will never get rid of the target on your back... but it will help if you just ignore them. Things will be much better once your account is activated because then you can use the foe feature to make their posts disappear from your view.

That's okay. Maybe it isn't possible.

I see that you already found a thread that includes some discussion of the same mask. Nanwilson's recommendation of using the search feature is a good one -- these trolls are not going to leave you (or anyone else) in peace, and the hostile atmosphere they create is unhealthy for everyone.

If you want a place to socialize about using xPap, you may want to look elsewhere. Maybe a forum of some interest to you that has a subforum for users with sleep apnea. This place is best for help/advice, assuming you can stomach the hatefulness here.

A Note to the Administrators: Please re-consider your stance on the behavior being tolerated within these forums. It is disgusting and out of control. It reflects poorly on cpap.com.

Until a member is registered and logged in they cannot edit their posts.

I could remove your first posts where you made the error but I can't do anything about the Subject/Topic line that shows on the main forum page.
Might as well leave the first posts and work from there. Eventually it will fall off the main page of the forum anyway.

It sounds like you have the DreamWear cushion (under the nose) instead of the DreamWear Gel nasal pillows.
I have used both and if you do have the cushion and ever want to try the Gel pillows all you need is the pillow because it will fit on the frame you have now.

The cushion model has been around 2 or 3 years I think...the gel pillows was just release last spring.
There are a few threads where people did reviews. I know I did a little review with each.
I actually prefer the nasal pillow version but that isn't unexpected...I have used nothing but nasal pillows for over 8 years now.

It's a nice little mask and just like every mask out there it has a few minor pros and cons...
some people will hate it and some will love it and some, like me, will say it is "okay". It's the life of a mask...one man's treasure is another man's trash.

THERE ARE NO ADMINISTRATORS......THIS IS AN UN-MODERATED FORUM
