Would appreciate some input and suggestions.

I go back to doc Monday. Upped the pressure from 6-12 to 8-13 and it looks worse instead of better??

Is this the only night with the new increased pressures?

Do you sleep on your back very much?

Next time lose the snore graph and make the events graph larger. It's almost so scrunched up I can't see the events easily and we don't need the snore graph because snores are shown on the Events graph.

You are still having a large number of events caused by obstruction. You need to work your way up to higher pressure. Pressure is the treatment for obstruction.
I see that you were diagnosed many years ago - where you ever titrated?

Thanks. Thought so.

Yes. New machine & doc. Used to do 11 straight cpap but machine was a brick. New guy starts me at 6-12 on apap. Said was a 2 week trial. Called back after a week and asked to raise pressure but he said not enough data. That was middle of July. DME put machine on auto, not auto trial, so I finally got fed up trying to inhale on 6 so pushed it to 8-13. He'll probably be po'd when he see's I changed the pressure but am fed up with all of them now. But, I MUST comply or Medicare won't pay for the machine.

That's great that you have a data machine and a new doctor. Hopefully you can work together to get you pressure back to where it needs to be.

The insurance co. won't care anything about your pressures so I'd relax as far as that goes. As far as your doctor goes... it's your therapy, you already know what works for you, so either change docs or tell him you're doing what works and are compliant, or don't tell him and remain compliant. You can always change your machine back when your time period's up if you think anyone will notice. Do what works for you, not for someone who's not invested in your therapy but only his own control issues.

Don't worry about your machine being taken away... unless you don't use it the prescribed amount of time. My pulmonologist ( for my asthma) said I needed to have another in-lab testing, my smart ass answer was "No thank you, that was pure torture, but I will bring you in all of my printouts from Sleepyhead so that you can see my therapy is excellent." . He back peddled at that point with a "That won't be necessary".................. he owns the sleep lab . No $$$$$ in his pocket for me to bring in my print outs... he probably would have never understood them anyway
I was diagnosed over seven years ago by his lab and clinic and sent on my way with a lovely brand new brick of a machine and a full face mask, at double the price, out my own poor pocket, I have never heard from the lab or clinic since..... It took me six months and help from the gang here, I had a used auto machine and a pillow mask, never looked back since then . I've changed masks a bunch of times and have since bought a new auto machine.. now paid for by insurance.
Good luck
Nan
