Oh no, I should have tried the next size larger too!? I wish that I'd spoken up in the first place and had him include all three sizes in the bag. It was bad enough to go back for the XS, but I'm really annoyed with myself for not having picked up the mediums at the same time. (haha, that emotie kinda resembles me around the eyes, considering how sleep-deprived I am at the moment)

I'm glad though that you achieved such a good fit! Thanks for the tip.

When you say, "shouldn't ever touch..." does that mean I should not use these at all? I was thinking to hang onto them as a backup for when I might need to sleep on my back, or sleep sitting up. Well, that, and I have no other mask right now.
You can most definitely use them if you want to but I can't imagine your nostrils being so tiny that the tip of the inner cone touches the insides unless you have the mask too tight.

If it doesn't rub the inside of the nostril or cause discomfort it's not going to hurt for it to touch anything inside the nose.
If you take just the pillow itself and put it gently up against your nostrils...you shouldn't be able to feel that teeny tiny tip of the inner cone. If you do...then your nostrils on the inside are super teeny tiny.
But if it does touch something...and it doesn't hurt...go ahead and use the mask if you like it.

If you want to try the other size that your DME didn't give you...check EBay. But if it is the Medium you are wanting to try the supply is going to be short because the medium is the most popular size.

Or...most insurance will allow 2 nasal pillow replacements a month...go back to your DME and ask for a replacement pillow per insurance allowance and specify the other size you wish to try.

Ohhhh! The inner cone. Sorry, I'm not usually this dense (well, not quite ) I thought you meant the silicon outer cone.

The tech guy steered me away from it though in favor of the Swift FX (he said that the P10 head straps tend to stretch and you lose the fit). Have you compared the two? What is it about the P10 that you especially like?
Why do techs keep saying that? I wash my P10 headgear weekly and it easily lasts for seven months without losing its shape. Replacement headgear is $25 or less at various places.
And the P10 headgear stays in place on my head better than the Swift FX headgear ever did.

The P10 is the only mask I have tried that is in the exact same position that it was when I fell asleep seven hours earlier.

By the way, I do not use hot water to wash the headgear, just warm water at a temperature that you would wash your hands at.

Disclaimer: I'm a medium-sized guy with an average head. I do realize that people whose heads are larger or smaller than average might not have the same experience.
