I've been using SleepHead for a long time without a problem. Once it couldn't find my data so I added a new user and it worked. I now have two user names for my data. TODAY, when I put the data card in the slot, Sleepy Head couldn't find the data *again* and asked me to choose a folder.
Prior to this, Sleep Head knew which folder and automatically found the old data so I could then add new data (like a few days). Now I'm not sure how to point it to the correct folder because my Sleepy Head folder shows up like this (C:/ProgramFiles (x86)SleepyHead) and there are about thirty choices that show up with various extensions like .ini and .exe and lots of .dll files and so on.
Can someone guide me to the right file name so I don't wind up with lots of user names?
Much appreciated.

Re: SleepyHead Can't Find My Recorded Data
Thank you. I did a search and found MANY .edf files, but the file location doesn't show the entire name or where it should be located.xxyzx wrote:====DeeCPAP wrote:I've been using SleepHead for a long time without a problem. guessing
but is their an EDF file there - else search the pc for edf files
pick the one with the latest date
that is the format used for instrumentation data like sleep studies and xpap machines
Should I copy and paste it somewhere?

Re: SleepyHead Can't Find My Recorded Data
Sometimes SleepyHead forgets where the SD card is.
All you need to do is point it to the drive letter where the SD card is sitting and redirect it once again.
Mine is drive letter F...
If SleepyHead forgets and asks where all I would do is navigate to that drive letter and that's it.
DON'T try to go into the SD card for a specific file or files. SH needs all the files and folders to do it's calculations.
Just point it to the drive letter and that's as far as you need to go.

Re: SleepyHead Can't Find My Recorded Data
Thanks. Last night when I started up SH, it showed BOTH user name files were (open). I didn't open them so something's amiss.Pugsy wrote:Sometimes SleepyHead forgets where the SD card is.

This is the exact message I got when I click either user name:
There is a lockfile already present for profile.
You can only work with one instance of an individual Sleepy Head profile at a time. Please
close any other instance of sleepyhead running with this profile before proceeding.
If no other instances of sleepyhead are running (eg. it crashed last time, it's safe to ignore this message.

Yes, it's safe to ignore the message that so and so is already open and running. Mine shows it half the time anyway. Not sure what the deal is but it still works if you ignore it.

Thanks, Pugsy. I'll try it the next time I boot up the program. Much appreciated, as usual.Pugsy wrote:Yes, it's safe to ignore the message that so and so is already open and running. Mine shows it half the time anyway. Not sure what the deal is but it still works if you ignore it.
