AirCurve 10ST Question

Post by lwieland11 » Wed Aug 23, 2017 10:32 am

After I turn off my AirCurve 10ST, it still makes a sound like it's lightly blowing air. Does anyone else's machine do this?

Yes...that is something all ResMed machines will do.
It's called "cool down mode" where the machine continues to blow air but at a very reduced flow rate. This is to dry out the hose and mask just in case there is any condensation in either.
Usually around 30 minutes give or take a little depending on how long you have used the machine.
Not a big deal. Entirely normal function. If for some reason the machine needed to be moved before the cool down mode was completed (like someone traveling and needing to pack up and leave a hotel room) it hurts nothing to just pull the plug and shut down the cool down mode early.
The cool down time does count towards machine run hours though...doesn't count for therapy hours though.
It's why total hours for the machine may not match up with total therapy hours.
