If you do a google search on the model number he listed (dsx600s11), you would find it is a Dreamstation Bipap Pro model.

Necessary? To point out that the information is *already there*?
Why are you *encouraging* incompetence?

Clicking on a link is so easy--
I can understand why the link is used instead of quoting a raw price.
Prices change--the sellers keep current.
The link also maintains documentation of the correct data.
Substantiated data is infinitely more believable than statements snatched out of thin air.

I would have made the same comment regardless of who made the prior post. The OP listed the model number in the post, and a simple search is all that was required to figure out what machine the OP has.

It's not necessary for any of us to be here, but here we are! Too much time on our hands! Jim

More likely, OP is a newbie who is unaware that while providing an xPAP machine that for insurances it is a "Rent to Own" deal. Depending on the insurance company, or the DME is giving you the same deal they would give an insurance company. The machine is rented for like 12 or 14 months. If you use the machine as you are supposed to. Then you own the xPAP machine outright. Maybe OP does not need to worry about buying a machine, as OP is already doing that.

I suspect the OP would like to find out if he is being ripped off---or how badly.
Forum veterans are well aware of DME/insurance shenanigans.
Newbies are just learning.
Some may not even be aware yet of the chicanery.
Consumer protection is part of what we do here.
Edit: Rainmom; not all insurance companies require rental.
Sometimes it is nothing more than DME dirty business.
We ALWAYS encourage people to get the "poop" from their insurance--or get pooped on by providers.
