It's reports like these that make me grateful Kaiser is too cheap to do in lab sleep tests. My sleep study was in my own comfy bed with a contraption strapped to one hand. No big deal.
If for some reason this study didn't give sufficient data, insist on a home sleep test. Find a provider that uses the Itamar Watch Pat--it's approved by Medicare, straps to one hand, and very easy to tolerate in comparison. You will get good data for determining your need for treatment.
You can also insist on doing your titration at home using an APAP machine. IMHO, it's much more accurate, because it's done in YOUR bed and your sleeping conditions, and can be done over several nights so you get a good picture rather than a snapshot.

And if you can have an APAP permanently, you are all set in case your pressure needs change.
Avoid unnecessary (and miserable) polysomnograms.
