ResMed VPAP COPD

Post by MimiVader » Mon Jul 31, 2017 5:34 pm

I am having to use the ResMed VPAP COPD machine as a loaner because my old machine is not functioning properly. It is set on straight CPAP. My Dr wants me to try Auto setup to see if that also improves my apnea. Can I do that on this machine? If so, how?

Exactly which model is it?
Should be shown as a 5 digit number on the blower...starting with 36 or 37.
If it actually says COPD on the blower I don't think it will do auto adjusting pressures but once you tell us the exact model we can look it up and see what it can or can't do.

I'm pretty sure the copd is a rebadged manual S model bilevel vpap

use the sd card and download sleepyhead. this is how you would titrate it on page 35. initially you would set the ipap to your cpap pressure and then set the epap 4cm less. given you have apnea at this pressure, you would need to increase as per instructions, also the forum can assist.

The VPAP COPD has no auto function.
