She knows more than I do about the business end of this than I do but I don't think I have ever had any dealings with a DME that had a RT on staff. Most of the other things mentioned are true to a certain extent in any business. She isn't a child but a mature adult lady.

If she can hire a vet that uses cpap it will be a win win. That should be easy to find one at the coffee shop for vets.

there is still marketing
and a tonne of overhead to run a company
having an RT and other staff to answer phones and do the books and ....

and having enough business so you can buying in enough volume so you can make money on the reimbursements that you have to negotiate to be accepted by medicrap or insurance
X, it's obvious from this thread that Stormy's daughter has thought this through, looked into it, and it appears she's done her due diligence. Do you run a business, perhaps, where your insight would be helpful at all? So far, not much help, and nothing that it appears her daughter doesn't already know.

And enthusiasm plus common sense can equal success, a combination it appears Stormy's daughter seems to have.

Unfortunately, there are always those who only see the negative in what others are trying to accomplish. HELPFUL advice AND support are a good combination, don't you think?

She knows someone that sells equipment and that is when she got the idea. She once bought a bar and grill and spent a ton of money on remodeling. She thought she could hire someone to run it for her and still make money. She learned a lot on that one but she kept it going long enough to be able to sell it and get her money back. She has a good job but is planning to quit to just do this.

I'm late chiming in on this one, Stormy, but I truly hope your daughter has wonderful success! I have had trouble with DMEs but am not in that camp of "all DMEs are bad/evil" because I know they're not. It is great to hear of someone that wants to get into the business that you feel, simply because she's the daughter of someone you know, will do GREAT!!

Ignore the negativity here and latch on to all the support and positive thinking!!

Stormy - I apologize to you for all the negative comments, but especially for alphabet guy. You and your daughter deserve better treatment and I'm sorry you have to deal with fools like alphabet guy trying to let the air out of your balloon. I, among many others I know, support you and your daughter and wish her much success!

That's probably a good idea, since he thrives on the attention. Since he can't get any positive attention, he seeks negative, so he's not ignored completely.

Unfortunately, with the owners not caring about the forum and forcing newbies to wait long times to even get registered, PMing them is difficult, and it doesn't help those that don't register and post, that are simply reading x's garbage and being mis-informed.

actually i hate attention

but i refuse to be bullied

especially by you libturds
I never bullied you in any way. I understand that you think both my daughter and I are idiots. Why would you care if she lost her shirt? This is not bullying you I am just asking a question.

nope

i use logic and facts
which makes me not enthusiastic about anything because you libtards are destroying civilisation
I know many here won't agree with this, but IMO you do post some things that are helpful and positive. But the majority of your posts are so negative and filled with juvenile name-calling that they overshadow everything else. It's sad, really. And if you believe that it's not negativity but reality...again, so sad that you apparently see so little that's positive in the world. People can have dreams and ambitions and still have their feet planted firmly on the ground with total knowledge of how difficult something may be to do. This world is indeed in bad shape, but it's definitely not as doom and gloom as your comments suggest that you believe.

And since you included me in the above quote, it appears that I am also the target of that juvenile name-calling, which, if that is a stab at liberals as it appears to be...man, are you wrong about me, so laughably wrong. I'm about as far from a liberal as you can get.

There is no need for you to apologize for him, you sweet lady. I expected a lot of bull crap when I posted this which is why I don't post very often. I was just excited to have a good DME to deal with. She will have hurdles to jump but she is a very capable lady with a good head on her shoulders. Her other business didn't fail because she got out without a loss. It just wasn't what she hoped it would be.
