Whooping Cough and CPAP

Post by roster » Tue Dec 05, 2006 4:56 pm

The local newspaper reports a rise in the number of cases of pertussis and recommends a booster DTaP vaccine for adults up to age 65. CDC also claims a rise in the number of cases nationwide.

I think if I had whooping cough for some weeks and could not wear my full face mask, I would quickly become a total mess or worse. I need to call the GP's office and see if they are recommending the boosters.

Has anyone else checked into this?

YES it is a good idea-every 10 years for adults. We had a diptheria scare here last year among older adults who hadn't had a booster for a long time-they still occur.
