AirCurv 10 Vauto...malfunctioning?

Post by Ben75 » Mon Jul 24, 2017 3:52 pm

Hi,

My father is using this machine with IPAP set to 14 and EPAP on 11 in S mode. All starts out fine when he turns it on, the Sleep Report Screen shows the max and min levels and the green bar starts moving. After a few minutes, however, the max changes from 14 to 11 and the meter stops moving completely, yet the machine is still on and seems to be working and my father continues to breath.

Is this normal or is their something wrong. I can't find any info on this and the manual doesn't mention this behavior.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

How long does the light stay on so you can see the meter?
I just tested mine in S mode and the light goes out pretty fast.

Do you have the available software so you can see what the pressure graphs are doing?
If you didn't know about the software you can find out about it here.

The light will come back on for a few seconds if you turn the knob. Didn't know about the software, but just wanted to make sure the machine is not malfunctioning. There doesn't seem to be any reason for the pressure bar to stop if he is breathing through the mask.

Okay. I just checked mine. Settings are 10.8 EPAP and 15 IPAP and the meter/bar continued to go up and down as expected with each breath.
Tested it for about a minute.

Not sure why your dad's would revert to 11 constant. I wouldn't think that it should be doing that. Get the software and see what the pressure graph shows as well as all the other settings available.
