sensor goes around thumb - much better than a fingertip crunching sensor like the 50f uses

when spo2 drops it vibrates to get you to change position and breathing better again
ad claims it reduces snores by doing that

monitor links with android via blue tooth and sends data to ap that records sleep data
data includes heart rate and spo2 possibly motion/movement (unclear in ad)
ad does not mention printing reports or using a pc with it

charge via usb cable for 2 hours to get 10 hours of recording time

looks like a variation on contec or innovo with vibrator added to wrist for alerting on low spo2
if so then it may be on alibaba for a drastically lower price if you buy multiple units
ask your local apnea support group to do a group buy and save big on a better oximeter

you do have a support group dont you
our local health provider system has one for us
maybe yours has one too
Just what we need something to wake us up when we are trying to sleep. You need to go to that Oximeter support group, maybe they have better med's too. Jim

dont know about you but if I am NOT breathing and my spo2 is low then i want to wake up
instead of moving on the big sleep permanently
Might correctly use a XPAP. Maybe a irom lung or vent.

to whoever is reading this nonsense,,,
an o2 meter that arouses you from sleep is worse than useless.

ajackoff is worse than useless

low spo2 is far more dangerous than something nudging you to change positions and breathe

My oxygen barely went lower than 90%. But all those sleep disturbances (79 an hour) were keeping me from getting decent sleep. I never reached deep sleep or REM. Those cycles are very important for our health. All those times that my brain roused me to wake up and breathe, meant adrenaline causing my heart to beat faster. That caused high blood pressure.

Sorry, but oxygen is only one of the problems caused by sleep apnea. Disturbances in sleep can be just as bad.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

very true, it is just one thing. Treating the apnea to prevent the low o2 is the goal, any of the recording o2 meters do the job of checking if needed. Normally it isn't needed.
It's pretty silly just arousing yourself more, with some gimmicky meter.

the intent i surmise from the ad was for people without cpap

but i see it as a necessary adjunct until treatment is working with an xpap
many people here complain of low ahi yet feeling bad

the oximeter and snore alert sure seems to be useful to those as well as those not yet on xpap
Yes, it gives them something to do, instead of getting useful treatment. Jim

Natural selection--just might help improve the gene pool.

=========

some disturbances are bad
others less so

low o2 is deadly
no amount of disturbance is equal to the big sleep

many things cause disturbances
low o2 does not seem to be one of them
and a couple more added to 79 would be a small price to pay to keep your o2 levels up
So, just stay awake for the rest of your life. As long as you are awake, you will not have events, and your oxygen will stay fine.

If sleep disturbances aren't a problem, then staying awake should be fine.

Like an infant apnea monitor..I think my cousin had one of theae and grew out of sleep apnea and I grew into it....

Or this vibrating thing....

Or a "slumberbump" instead of a cpap...

And whatever happened to the impecca-alert-band, the portable EEG that supposedly monitored sleepiness while driving....

And other driver fatigue detection systems...

Natural selection too slow, too much cross breeding in the gene pool. Everyone Out of the Pool! Put Chlorine in the pool. Jim

Most oximeters allow you to sound an alarm if oxygen levels drop below a set value. They sound an alarm but don't vibrate.

Pick you poison...

the vibration would alert me to move my body
an alarm would either wake me up and scare me or i would sleep through it
The vibration would wake me up. Then I would chuck it across the room.

Honestly, I think you would be better off buying a used machine on your own. Once you win the battle with the insurance company, you will have a backup. But you need something now that will prevent events without disturbing your sleep.
