Elimate that new hose smell

Post by PugglleDad » Mon Jul 03, 2017 11:35 am

I have been using CPAP for years with no problems. New machine has a hose that smells like the inside of a hospital, which we all know smells like death. I've washed and soaked in soapy water to no avail. I have considered dragging it behind my truck, letting the dogs play with it or using it to support the bird feeder to see if that would help but thought I would post my plight here first. Any suggestions?

Bury it under the fence of the pig lot, the smell will keep the pigs from digging out under it. Jim

Or bury it in the cat box!

Complain to either your DME or the manufacturer. If you have new hose smell that doesn't come out, it's usually the mold release. If you've cleaned it several times and it still smells, consider it a manufacturer's defect and complain.

Vinegar is known to disinfect and neutralize odors. Or you could put some of your fav minty mouthwash in it for a few.

Let us know what works for you.
