Hi folks,
I just got an Airsense 10 and I have a question about setting it. I want to activate EPR to be on always however I wonder if it wears the motor down and shortens the service life? Does anyone know if it has this effect? Thankyou.

Re: Airsense 10 EPR
No, the motor speed is constantly changing as as it speeds up and slows down as you inhale and exhale. EPR just makes it change a little more.Timtam wrote:Hi folks,

In addition, if you are using an AutoSet in auto mode it is constantly changing anyway.palerider wrote:No, the motor speed is constantly changing as as it speeds up and slows down as you inhale and exhale. EPR just makes it change a little more.Timtam wrote:Hi folks,

Re: Airsense 10 EPR
even an elite, or CPAP one, the motor speed varies all the time, it has to speed up as you inhale, or the pressure would drop, it has to slow down as you exhale, or the pressure would increase.... if you put your ear against the machine while you breath, you can hear it changing speed.JimW159 wrote:In addition, if you are using an AutoSet in auto mode it is constantly changing anyway.palerider wrote:No, the motor speed is constantly changing as as it speeds up and slows down as you inhale and exhale.
