Can I use a duffel bag to carry CPAP on airline?

Compu- I forgot- I go thru the TSA PreCheck line- you are not required to remove anything from inside the luggage, (unless the ask). If you travel frequently, I highly recommend applying for it.

Got it. I do TSA Pre as well, so that's good to know. Unfortunately, the terminal I use most at my home airport doesn't have a separate pre line. They give you the card saying you don't have to take anything out, and then they make you take everything out. When I get to go through a real Pre line, I agree, it's great.

If you lost the original bag, I would try to get either the exact bag it came in or a similar one. The original bag will supposedly protect the machine from damage.

Of course, pack it ahead of time so you can be sure it fits. Of course, you can't leave it packed until flight day, but at least you'll know it fits.

Here's another important piece of advice (and everybody who has a CPAP should do this even if you're homebound): Prepare a dedicated packing list for your CPAP and keep a copy in your CPAP bag at all times. You would not want to forget any of the pieces! Also, the list is important in case of an emergency hospitalization in case somebody else needs to pack it for you!

The cpap fits snugly in the bottom of the duffel bag.

Did not read thru all of these replies but IF you are departing from or enroute to a US airport then TSA rules will apply.
Medical equip is not a chargeable carryon item and does not need a special medical tag tho you should have a name tag on every bag and contact info (cell) inside also.
Any carry on must be able to fit under the seat or in the overhead compartment, if not you will have to check it at the gate.
TSA does NOT care about the size only the contents.
You can google the size limit for a carry on and you can put your cpap in ANY type of luggage.
The kind the flight attendants use will work nicely.
