To my knowledge Respironics didn't change anything in regards to the basic functions of these machines when they upgraded to the DreamStation model line.
Flex exhale relief didn't change nor did what the machines report or the definitions.
Some cosmetic differences of course and some fine tuning ability with the heated hose and humidity settings.
If everything is identical...pressure, mode, Flex relief setting (if used) then there really shouldn't be any huge difference in the results you are seeing.
But they are there and they have persisted and I have no idea what might be going on.
Only thing I know to offer is do what we would suggest in this situation if this were your first machine...increase the pressure a little bit and see if the results improve.
How to do screenshots..

Is the ResMed any "better"...other than some minor cosmetic differences a ResMed machine and a Respironics machine really only differ when in apap mode because of the algorithm that is used to drive the pressures.
If you are using a fixed pressure then that pressure should yield the same results no matter which machine.
Now if you were wanting to compare the apap ResMed to apap Respironics...there's a substantial difference in the algorithm but not when using fixed pressures.
If you are using a chin strap and hate it is there any chance that some of the AHI you are seeing is SWJ (Sleep/Wake/Junk). Do you spend much time with the mask and machine on? While we often think of SWJ as mainly CAs/centrals it really can be any apnea flag.
Are the flagged events in a cluster which might point to sleeping position or REM sleep?

I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
Re: New CPAP machine and bad results
Thank you for the info. I will try increasing my pressure by .5.
The events are definitely in clusters
I will try to get IMGUR to work on the MAC tomorrow.
