Unfortunately, depending on the anatomy of your tongue base it may or may not help. It helped my wife but not me with snoring.

Also, there are a few different ways an apnea can happen and not just because the base of the tongue slides down. So I look at this product as a tool for someone that snores but does not have sleep apnea. Though many that snore, do. So it can give false hope to some.

When I did my research on this product it seemed like it was well thought out and invented by a dentist in Alberta. I think it may help some people but definitely not all. At least they are a BBB accredited business and they do have a money back guarantee of 90 days. From what I have gathered, people have not had too much trouble getting their money back either. Which is why they have a good rating with the BBB in the USA and Canada. It's designed in Canada and manufactured in the USA too. So not what I would call a quack product. Just not a "one size fits all" kind of thing.

There is no question the OP had good intentions with this device and was sincere in their questions. It's really too bad their integrity was questioned.

Hi Marillion, thank you for the support! I don't have a problem with snoring but I'm glad it's helping your wife with that! It ended up hurting my frenulum quite a bit, and I was concerned because I can't see my AHI, so I decided to stop using it. BUT I discovered that it helped my stop mouth breathing at night, making me able to switch to a much more comfortable mask. I was using the Quattro Air Full Face Mask (it's awful) but yesterday I picked up the DreamWear (it smells like cupcakes, I love it! ). Using the GMSS, without restraining my tongue, AND wearing the DreamWear last night, I got the best sleep since I've started this journey. My AHI was down too this morning, only 0.5

I'm hoping now to begin feeling better. Really, really hopeful. After reading all those bullying comments I went to the bathroom and just balled for an hour. My poor health is effecting all areas of my life negatively and I need to get better. I wish people would realize that when they're posting to someone on a forum, it's a real person they're talking to, not just a conglumeration of typed letters and numbers. Take care.

I too was desperate when I was considering buying this device. I was newly diagnosed, feeling very down, and was horribly sleep deprived. Those were not good times, and so when I saw your question about this product it all flooded back to me, and I remembered just how bad things can be when a person is struggling to find almost any solution. I never saw you as a spammer, just as being vulnerable and needing advice. (I have read all your posts here)

I hope that you can get whatever ails you treated, because it is very clear that things are not going well for you at present.

I wish you all the best.
Thank you Arelene for the support. How long did it take you find the mask/solution that worked for your apnea? Like they say, I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired! My respiratory therpaist told me yesterday that it could take weeks, maybe even a month. Ugh. It's hard to be patient, yet I know I must be. It took me years to reach this zenith of bad health, which I have remained at for 4 years now. I know it's not going to happen overnight. Thank you for your help.

An AHI of .5 is wonderful Jane! I'm really happy for you! Glad that it's all coming together. Stick with it, it will only get easier.

I think you are right about people not realizing how much their comments can hurt people. Often what people are not willing to say to someone in person they are all to eager to type behind a keyboard. I try to always converse the same way with people in a forum as I would in person. There just seems to be a general degradation of respect towards others these days in all ways and I don't want to contribute to that. Try not to take hateful things that people say online too seriously Jane.
