They almost work for me. However, ChapStick and Micropore paper tape is much cheaper and works better for me. If you order some Chin-Up-Strips, be sure and get the least aggressive glue they have. If you want to try some free ones that remove part of your face when you take them off, PM me I'll send you some..

Could you describe how you use the tape? Do you cover your mouth or simulate these strips?

Real simple, items required 2" Nexcare 3M Micropore tape and one tube of ChapStick:

1) Wash and dry face.
2) Apply ChapStick to lips.
3) Tun in the end of the tape to form a pull-tab for removal.
4) Pull off a 5 inch piece of tape.
5) Turn in the lips a bit, and apply the tape.
6) Before putting the roll of tape away, turn down the end of it to form a tab that will be used to remove the next tape application.

I use hot water to remove the tape the next morning. However, others have said they don't like to deal with the residue that the hot water leaves behind. The same people who sell Chin-up Strips, also have some tape removal wipes that work well.

Don't forget, I'm not a medical professional. This may be bad for you. However, it works for me.

Oops! Sorry I forgot to answer your question. I cover my entire mouth and the surrounding area. The ChapStick keeps the tape from sticking to my lips.

Which type of chin-up strip did you try before going to your method? I can't see myself tolerating having my mouth taped shut. I see they have three different types. Does it matter shich one you use? Thanks.

I think I have the flesh color ones. The glue is way too aggressive for me.
