alternate to Aussie heated hose?

RG probably knows about this, but strolling through cpap.com I noticed a replacement heated hose for the HC604 for only $49 bucks, hey that is half the price of the off-shore unit.

I know what it says.... but that don't stop me:
Manufacturer: Fisher & Paykel

This is for the HC604 or SleepStyle HC608 machines. It is the Thermosmart Heated Hose only.
Too bad you couldn't connect it to an external power supply and use it with ANY cpap machine. Like an adapter where you can plug in the low voltage power supply.

RG got any sprinkler fittings in your tool box?

I can't find anything anymore! Tool box is stuffed full. Too many rolls of tape and too many pairs of pantyhose!

Lots of companies make them for ventilator use- here is an add from Tyco Healthcare (parent company of Puritian Bennet) from Europe. I've also seen similar adds from the US, that's just the first one that came up when I did a search. Check out Page 39 of their PDF catalogue (fyi- 76 pages total) and the mention of with CPAP/BiPAP.
