Respironics production of Remstar auto
Does anyone know if the M series auto will be replacing the the Remstar auto? In other words, does anyone know if the Remstar auto will be going out of production anytime soon?

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.
Re: Respironics production of Remstar auto
I spoke with a Respironics rep a couple of weeks ago. I asked him that very question and he said yes, they will replace the older style with the M series eventually, but "for the time being" they will still make both styles. He said it will be probably at least another year before it's phased out.DreamStalker wrote:Does anyone know if the M series auto will be replacing the the Remstar auto? Since the M Series is the newest, it would be the "classic" / "brick" model that would be gone.inacpapfog wrote:So, exactly which one will be phased out?
The m-series or the larger remstar auto?

I imagine they will continue making it as long as it continues to sell. Look at the production of the even older SyncronyST model, they are still selling that model and only recently replacing it with the Classic style frame, think they refer to it as the "gray" model.
My M series has been working pretty good as long as you are careful with the tank, I just don't fill it all the way, would still like to see them redesign the tank lid with some kind of baffle or flap to reduce the risk of spillage. Funny thing is, I found the other day there IS a "sticker" which cautions removing the tank before moving the unit under the lid. Where they put it you cannot see it, with it sitting on the night stand you cannot see the warning label if you are standing up (unless I guess you are a midget).

Synchrony ST has alarms (low pressure, high pressure, apnea, patient disconect, low minute vent, low tidal volume, momentary power interuption, power off, etc) the gray BiPAP ST doesn't have, so I don't know if they will be phasing it out any time soon. People with apnea don't use most of the alarms, but people who use BiPAP STs for respritory support for other respritory disorders do. Respironics also markets a labratory version of the Synchrony and their version of ASV they are marketing in Europe is in the same body.Snoredog wrote: Look at the production of the even older SyncronyST model, they are still selling that model and only recently replacing it with the Classic style frame, think they refer to it as the "gray" model..

Yes, that's why I bought a spare "classic auto". Even though I probably won't need itbut the "classic style" is definitely the one that's being phased out.
I haven't taken an "M' apart yet, but I'm very impressed by the RemStar Auto's design and construction. About the only bad part is the filter cover.
The little "clips" break off too easily. ' '
+ Aussie heated hose.
