OSA..There is a cure!

May I interfer here? All I have to say is that perhaps if we were to take a good look at all the diseases that have been mentioned here.......What is common in all of these?

Liam, you said it in one of your posts. It's being overweight! Now, I don't know about all of you.... but I could use to loose some weight. And what is common for overweight people.... Let's see... Apnea, High Cholestrol, Diabetes, Acid Reflux, Inactive Thyroid, etc.... shall I continue! And who is really make the money off of all us "overweight" people.... the docs!! All of a sudden, it just seems like that's all you hear about..... "Another overweight person kicking the dust" or "Overweight" this and that!! Instead of giving us diets to follow, the docs gives us tests. They really don't know what's wrong with us, we are just overweight and must have overweight problems. Why is it that all these diseases weren't big in the "old days" and why is it that our older generation seemed to live long lifes?

Ok...All of the above might not make good sense.... But I tried. I hope you know what I am trying to get at.

The medical world, including everyone right on down the line, does not want to find a cure. Finding a "real" cure would mean no more revenue for the companies who make the crazy aparatus we are subject to wear every night as well as the MDs, the sleep labs, etc. There is a reason why sleep apnea is on the rise, I don't know what it is but its got every Tom, Dick and Harry CASHING IN.....


Ok, not that this makes any of us feel any better about it, but do we think the situation is any different for any other revenue producing illness??? Cancer, HIV, OSA.... what have they found a cure for? We can't even cure the common cold! Ahhh, but we did find Viagra...weird how certain things work isn't it?
