User Review (By Wader): Respironics Auto with C-Flex

Post by forumadmin » Tue Feb 22, 2005 11:38 am

Howdy cpaptalkers,

Wader, aka Wading Thru The Muck, aka "The Man" is doing all kinds of cool stuff around here that deserves recognition as a trend setter and an important member of our community.

1. He's written up a user review of his Respironics Auto with C-Flex. To read it you can either click the link near the top of the page under "CPAP Interviews and Reviews" or just click here:

viewArticle/Respironics-Remstar-Auto-CP ... -Muck.html

We welcome user equipment reviews, comments or articles about your experiences with CPAP or Sleep Studies, or anything else CPAP related you would like to share. Please write yours up and email it to forumadmin@cpaptalk.com and we'll post it right on the top of every page.

2. He's coming up on 1000 posts! In the early days of this board, we weren't sure it would reach "critical mass" and get enough posts to continue the flow of information. Without that flow, the community would not exist. Wader is a huge component of our success and one of the big reasons this resource if available. Thank You!

3. I've overheard that he's heading to an AWAKE group meeting. This is a good idea for anyone interested in learning more about CPAP face to face, or in pointing new CPAP newbies in the right direction. Answer all their questions, and tell them to meet you on cpaptalk to ask more!

We're currently talking to "AWAKE Group Dave" and asking if it'd be ok to list all the known, active, AWAKE groups across the nation and world.

If there's interest in the cpaptalk community to do this, we could even support it with cpaptalk flyers and have a call for community ideas in order to get the word out.

There are all kinds of exciting things happening around here. Thanks to Wader for his role in it. If I started naming everyone who has helped make this work, I'd be typing this post all day so let me just say to everyone who has been involved in this: you're helping others live better lives and your involvement and interest in your sleep apnea treatment will one day change this whole industry for the better. In fact, it already has.

Johnny

Johnny and Wader,
Great idea and great start. Is there any way other users can add to a review with comments such as pros & cons on a product? For example, I would add my comments on the RemStar Auto:

Pros:
Auto on feature
C-Flex is great
SmartCard

Cons
Need to turn humidifier on after each time it is turned off
Lack of back-lighting on display

Howdy Derek,

We are working up a CPAP User Encyclopedia that will be live in the coming weeks. Eventually, that's where all this content will be placed. Users will be able to comment or modify existing content.

For now, we're stuck in the stone age. If you write something up and email me, I'll post it.

Also, I haven't said hello to you yet. Welcome to the boards!

Johnny

My heartfelt thanks to Johnny and all the folks at cpap.com that have helped me along...Thanks Ted, Adam, Becky and I have even had the pleasure of speaking to the head honcho Mr. John Goodman.

Anything I've contributed to this forum, is as a result of the people on it, who so warmly welcomed me as I joined this group... Thanks rested gal, chrisp, LDyer, 53now and Spiritus.

I also can't write this without mentioning some of you that have not been around here that long, but have contributed immensly to my knowledge and success with my therapy... Thanks -SWS, Liam(if that's your real name), derek and mikesus.

You'all are the guys that make this forum the valuable thing it is and without all of us together (including all those I haven't mentioned), we'd all be wading thru the muck.

THANKS!!! ...wader
