4 channel sleep study

I had a 4 channel sleep study 2 weeks ago. I'm wondering how much info I will get from the study. I finally called for the results....as no one bothered to notify me that the test was positive. When I got through to my doc, she said she was with another patient and would send me the results. But what I received was the response to the consultation from the pulmonologist.... not the actual sleep study report.... essentially said the test was positive for OSA and mixed and that I would benefit from CPAP titration. My appointment to pick up the CPAP machine is in two more weeks. I feel slighted because I had no face to face contact with a physician to discuss the outcome of the study, but more importantly, I would like to know if the 4 channel study is adequate to make a definitive diagnosis. What do you experienced folk think?
