There should be no embarrassment on your part for using a xpap device. It is no difference than someone having to use any other medical device.

Lastly, your roommate may well be on XPAP as well, or maybe should be. Sleep Apnea is still HIGHLY underdiagnosed.

HIPPA doesn't have anything to do with you using a CPAP while sharing a room with a co-worker. It means that your physician or anyone involved in your care may not share your medical information with anyone that is not directly involved with your care or with payment for services (such as your insurance company).
