Thanks for your MUCH too kind words.

So many on this board and other apnea boards are helping others every day. I'll always be grateful to those who extended a helping hand to me.

Wish I had a link to all their names.

Yeah but Laura....if it hadn't been for you I would never have known enough to tie pantyhose on my head.

Seriously....you really helped keep me in the game when I was starting out.

rg, you probably wouldn't believe how many of your posts I have copied and kept for when and if I need to reread something in your clear, concise, sensible, and wonderful responses to threads. I have done many "rereads".

Sometimes when I go to cpaptalk.com and only have a few minutes, I'll first check the subjects for something I might need to know then check the name of the last responder to all of the threads. If it was you, I'll read it regardless of the subject.

Your wisdom was especially helpful to me when I went in for my last sleep study and titration. The other times I'd gone in for the studies I was totally ignorant about the studies and about OS.

There are other posters who have been very helpful also and I would like to thank all who come to this site in a spirit of helpfulness. I have to admit I have been discouraged by the bitterness and struggle to get the last word in by some posters and have not visited the site much lately.

I am happy to see the tone of this thread and hope this will exemplify what we have to look forward to on this site.

DITTO FROM ME, TOO. You will probably never know how many people have stayed on therapy or been willing to start therapy or even seek a medical opinion as to whether or not they have sleep apnea because you cared enough to respond to so many posts and new threads. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. There is not a trophy in this world big enough to reward the selfless kindness and time you and several others like you have given to this board.

WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!!

In my book she deserves to be the toast of the town.

Rested Gal is a good 'un as we Northerners like to say... .
Wonderful idea!
What I admire about Rested Gal is her drawing on the posts of several boards and various resources for her compilations, for she understands that regardless of which forum(s) you use, it's all about helping folks with sleep apnea. She has helped folks everywhere. I think it would be a terrific idea for her compilations be used in the FAQ section here. She'd be just an easy click away!

RG,
I would like to add another “Thank you from a newbie”. A month ago I finally got on the “right path” getting first the CPAP and then after reading your posts the APAP machine. I am learning every day and you have saved me innumerable number of unhappy days and nights of frustration. Thank you very much for your work sharing your knowledge with us. I am always very suspicious of clichés, but you defiantly made a difference for me and I am sure for other people too.

Even your handle “Rested Gal”, assures us that the problem CAN have a solution and with more efforts and a little bit of luck we will get there too.

Thousands of posts and yet Laura takes the extra time to provide the "personal" touch to those of us that need a little extra help. What a breath of fresh air in this crazy world. Thanks Laura

Dear Rested Gal,

I also wanted to say thanks for all of the help that you have provided to me and others on the forum! I hope you realize what

a wonderful difference you make in people's lives by your knowledgeable suggestions and contributions.

I have had this sleep apnea "sentence" for 16 years and have not woken up feeling rested once!

Some Dr's accused me of being depressed, well they might be depressed if their life was on hold and they were walking

around in a foggy, groggy migraine infested stupor! I will admit, for a while I was starting to feel hopeless. But

because of your help, I think I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

DITTO!!! DITTO !!! DOUBLE DITTO!!!!

To all of the above. Laura is THE BEST!!

I would be willing to bet that there are few here, if any, that she has not helped in one way or another. Few people would care enough to take the time to do all that she does to help others. Not taking anything away from the others here who are also very helpful, but we can always depend on Rested Gal!!!

THANKS, LAURA!!!!
