Sorry if this will be out of line. Mods please delete if it is.
I'm sort of new to the forum.
I have found a ton of useful info on this board. I plan to post more queries as I start to learn more about my/our disease/sickness.
I'm just discovering the intricacies of apnea. I have been on an old hand me down BiPap machine for about a year now. (Insurance doesn't cover apnea in my country).
I have been off and on the board "researching" for about 3 days now trying to learn terms and about the machines we use. My doctor is competent but I guess I don't ask enough questions. I also seem to trust second/third opinions given by "real" people in the same situation better.
I just have a hard time doing "research" on this board because everything is in one forum. The other forums I visit (golf and basketball) have classifications within the general forum- equipment, general, rules, swap shop, etc.
Maybe we could have something similar here?
Just a thought. I kind of got dizzy trying to look up a few things.
suggestion to the forum
If there is a certain subject that you want to know about use the search button on the top of the webpage you can find any topics that you want and if you have any more questions about a certain subject then start a new topic, people will be more than willing to help you in any way that they can.
I see what you are saying, but once you learn to navigate through all the topics you will have no problem.

I know what you mean. I have been using the search feature a lot the past few days. It is just pretty tedious because evrything is under one forum,CSA0890 wrote:If there is a certain subject that you want to know about use the search button on the top of the webpage you can find any topics that you want and if you have any more questions about a certain subject then start a new topic, people will be more than willing to help you in any way that they can.

I'm just spoiled by some other forums where info is easier to sort thru.
It might be easier in the long run, when this forum gets even bigger.
The subject of "categories" has been brought up a number of times, and each time it's been the general consensus of the users to leave it as it is because that's what makes this the BEST forum in this category. One reason being is that the people (like yourself) posting are sure to get a response to their question because most everyone else will see it and read it.
Another advantage is that by dumping all the subjects into one "category' the readers will become more knowledgeable about more things than they would by segregating it.
Best wishes,
Den

Dear Guest,
You might find the info more organized if you click on the light bulb(above the board) titled "Our Collective Wisdom".
It would also help if everyone took a minute to give their post an informative subject.
e.g. "Suggetion: categories in the forum" instead of "suggestion to the forum" which would immeidatele indicate what the suggestion is about.
Oh, by the way, registered users can edit their subject headings.
I agree with Den:
If you prefer a categorized apnea support board you can try it at http://www.apneasupport.org.
