.......
Excellent articles posted here by DSM and Snoredog. Thanks guys. My BP on Friday last was down to 150/85 which is the lowest it's been for ages. I've only been on apap for a month so here's hoping it keeps going down.

I have been on meds for hypertension for 27 years. I am so envious of you who have decreased blood pressure since going on cpap. I had so hoped that this would be one of my improvements. However, I have had one pill a day added since going on cpap, so am now up to 4 a day. I can only hope that eventually it will improve. Can't help but wonder, if I had gone on cpap, back then, if blood pressure and general health would be better. That is about the same time my hubby started waking me shaking me and telling me to "Breathe!! - You are not breathing!! - Breathe!"

Congrats to you who can come off meds!!

I'll have to mention this to my family physcian. The last 5 years I go into my yearly physical and they can't figure out why my blood pressure is low normal. They once hooked me up to a heart monitor(not sure maybe a EKG) just to make sure everything was ok with my heart.
Maybe my CPAP is repsonsible. I'll mention that next time.
